Sempervivum in Latin means ?live forever?. Its name represents the ability to survive even under different conditions, but it also represents the place where houseleek can most often be found ? right on the roofs of houses.

Sempervivum Green Wheel Care
Full sunlight is the best for these plants to grow. They can also grow in partial sunlight with a slight gangly result.
Any rosette that breaks of from this plant has the potential to grow into a new plant.
You should water by sticking your finger in the soil. Water only when the upper layer of the soil is dry to touch.
Use a potting soil mix with a little sand.
Cactus & succulents like good drainage You can mix in a little slow-release organic fertilizer, but it is not necessary.
Make sure to pack down the soil around the transplanted plant, and thoroughly water it, to help spur the rooting process in the new soil.
The seeds need light to germinate and temperatures of at least 21 C.
If they don't germinate in 4 to 5 weeks, put the pots in the refrigerator for 2 to 4 weeks and repeat the sun and temperature conditions

Care Info
Potting: Plants do not need any special type of potting soil. Being tropical natives, they do well in any well-drained potting soil, rich with organic material. Use a mix of coco-peat, compost, and sand in a 20:60:20 ratio.
Watering: Overwatering is the chief cause of disease or loss of plant life. Do ensure that you don't overwater them. To get plants to show off their richly colored leaves, it is best to wipe them clean with moist tissue or cloth once every month. In drier months, misting them a few times a week could help improve humidity around the plant, helping them flourish.
Fertilising: Feeding your Plant a few times a year is a good way to get them to stay healthy. Give them some organic liquid fertilizer once or twice a year. Dilute it in water as described on the pack and add a little to each pot as part of your watering routine. If you are using a chemical fertiliser do ensure that you keep it away from the plant and its base.
Light:As a tropical plant that grows in the humid bright shade of tropical forests, this plant prefers similar conditions when grown as a houseplant. It dislikes full sunlight, preferring bright, indirect sun, such as that offered by north-facing windows. It will also thrive under fluorescent lights.
