Aglaonema: Another plant that thrives on neglect, most Aglaonema (a.k.a Chinese Evergreen) can survive low-light conditions. Depending on which variation you choose, the strappy leaves may have hints of red or silver. Keep the soil moist by misting regularly.
Money Plant: This is one of the most popular Indian plants, which is easy to grow in both soil and water. The money plant improves air quality in the house and according to feng shui principles, creates a harmonious environment and brings in prosperity.
Syngonium: This beautiful plant is not just eye-candy but also has the quality to cleanse the indoor air you breathe! Syngonium can remove VOCs such as formaldehyde, benzene, toluene, and xylene. The plant has also been approved as an air purifier by researchers at NASA.
Areca Palm: With lush green, beautiful fronds, Areca Palms make a striking addition to home interiors. These plants need indirect sunlight, so you could ideally place them near a south or west-facing window. With regular watering and re-potting whenever needed, areca palms can grow up to seven feet in height.
Peace Lily: Apart from being aesthetically appealing, peace lilies enhance indoor air quality. These plants require little to no sunlight and are easy to cultivate. Adapted to low levels of watering, the hooded flowers are quite striking and beautiful.
Care Product Info
Potting: Plant do not need any special type of potting soil. Being tropical natives, they do well in any well-drained potting soil, rich with organic material. Use a mix of coco-peat, compost, sand in 20:60:20 ratio.
Watering: Overwatering is the chief cause of disease or loss of plant life. Do ensure that you don't overwater them. To get plants to show off their richly coloured leaves, it is best to wipe them clean with moist tissue or cloth once every month. In drier months, misting them a few times a week could help improve humidity around the plant, helping them flourish.
Fertilising: Feeding your Plant a few times a year is a good way to get them to stay healthy. Give them some organic liquid fertiliser once or twice a year. Dilute it in water as described on the pack and add a little to each pot as part of your watering routine. If you are using a chemical fertiliser do ensure that you keep it away from the plant and its base.
Light:As a tropical plant that grows in the humid bright shade of tropical forests, this plant prefers similar conditions when grown as a houseplant.It dislikes full sunlight, preferring bright, indirect sun, such as that offered by north-facing windows. It will also thrive under fluorescent lights.
